Tampa Ebulletin August

This was the first ebulletin I made and sent out to the Tour America customer database. It’s an awful lot of information to fit in when you don’t want the length of the ebulletin to become excessive. After you have made a few different types of promotional materials, you start to figure out what pieces of information you can leave out, what you can shorten and what you need to highlight better. Having said that, I was pleased with the design of my first ebulletin as I had made anything in long time in the lead up to starting at Tour America.

It’s always better to keep up designing even if you have a summer off or whatever the case may be. Because you can be a bit rusty when you do start back. It reminds me of when I was little and I forgot how to subtract when I went back to school in September after the summer break. So embarrassing!

Tampa Ebulletin – Mock Up

This was the first ebulletin I made. An bulletin is essentially a short newsletter that Tour America sends out via email to their customer database. This was only a mock up that I made with place holder text. Once the holiday offers were verified by the marketing team, they could be placed into the appropriate areas. However, the marketing manager didn’t like the image of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge so I had to start over.

I think I went a bit mad on the ol’ gradient effect there but it fits in with the colour scheme. I thought I would include it in here as I thought it was a good first effort in my first internship. I tried to make it look a bit different too, as you can see by comparing it to a previous example of a Tour America ebulletin below. It gives you an idea of what the general layout had to be. As you can see, the Tour America logo always appears on the top left hand side and the footer is a pre-designed inclusion.
